The department of Romance Languages is situated in the district of Nonntal. The Faculty of Humanities - designed by architects Storch, Ehlers & Partner from Hanover - was built between 2008 and 2010, and it is one of the most modern university buildings in Austria. It is easily reachable from the main train station (Salzburg Hauptbahnhof) taking the bus 5 and 25, or from the city center taking the buses 27 (Ferdinand-Hanusch-Platz) and 25 (Rathaus).

Connection to Salzburg Airport is provided by bus 2 (Mirabellplatz) and 10 (Ferdinand-Hanuschplatz).
